Gigi Testa channels his vast musical taste and
knowledge in his own music. Born and raised in Napoli,he has been a regular dj
under the mount Vesuvius in the last several years,mostly during Neuhm events
and he's now resident dj and sound designer at the well known audiophile
venue,Basic Club.
Influenced by different cultures and musical styles,he
developed his dj imprint that incorporates myriad elements which gravitates
around worldwide rhythms and electronic experimental sounds. In the same spirit
he reflected himself into his music productions,releasing music on Rush Hour
with the 4 tracker “Esoteric Paradise” and the upcoming Ep “Jinja” which
established a solid connection with the Amsterdam label/shop.Testa also
released music on Compost with a remix for Arno e Mathieu and his own World
Peace Music having Ron Trent remixing his well know track “Saudade For
Salvador”.
These recent music projects takes his self-proclaimed “World Music
meets Club Music” approach in a kaleidoscopic new directions without any restrictions
or categories.Recently he started his own record shop, Organica Records, right
in the heart of Napoli city center.
