LUKE SOLOMON

Striding into his fourth decade in music, Grammy-winning producer, DJ, and songwriter Luke Solomon remains one of the most influential figures in house music. With roots embedded deep in the scene since the early 1990s, his impact continues to resonate across generations. The resurgence of his seminal label, Classic Music Company, has introduced Solomon to new audiences, reaffirming his status as one of the UK’s most respected and forward-thinking artists.

A prolific writer, producer, and remixer, Solomon’s recent work includes standout contributions to two of 2022’s most celebrated albums, Beyoncé’s Renaissance and Honey Dijon’s  Black Magic Girl, highlighting his technical mastery and enduring relevance.

Solomon’s journey began in 1990s London, where his midweek ‘Space’ parties at Bar Rhumba alongside Kenny Hawkes became legendary. It was here he connected with Derrick Carter, leading to the creation of the iconic Classic imprint. The label’s revival in 2012 marked a new chapter, culminating in his critically acclaimed second album, Timelines. Praised by Resident Advisor as a “joyful, far-reaching extension” of his DJ sets, the album showcased Solomon’s passion and commitment to his craft.

2022 marked a career peak, with Solomon earning Grammy nominations for his work on Beyoncé’s Renaissance. Tracks like ‘Cozy’ and ‘Alien Superstar’, co-produced with longtime collaborator Honey Dijon, exemplify his signature club-focused sound. The album was widely celebrated as a powerful tribute to dance music culture.

In 2025, Solomon expanded into theatre, collaborating with Honey Dijon and Chris Penny on Saturday Church, which premiered at the New York Theatre Workshop to critical acclaim. Serving as Musical Supervisor alongside Jason Michael Webb, Solomon helped bring the production to life, with the show earning multiple Off-Broadway nominations.

More recently, Solomon has spent three years working on Honey Dijon’s third album, The Nightlife, released in April. Alongside Chris Penny, he contributed extensively as both writer and producer. The duo’s ongoing collaborations include work with Channel Tres, Medicine, and new projects with Horse Meat Disco, as well as remixes for Jessie Ware, Duran Duran, and Lady Gaga.

Looking ahead, Solomon is developing a new project under the name Super Reel with Andrew Hale of Sade, with an album slated for release in 2027.

Now entering his fourth decade as a DJ, Luke Solomon continues to perform at some of the world’s most iconic clubs, remaining as vital and passionate as ever.
