Marco Passarani is a key figure in the international electronic music scene. Born and raised in Rome, where he is currently based, he emerged from the city’s early underground club culture and went on to carry its sound and attitude into clubs and established festivals all over the world.
Active since the formative years of the Roman scene, Passarani’s career has been shaped by constant experimentation, long-term collaborations and a hands-on approach to music-making. His work extends well beyond the DJ booth, from his early activity as a producer and distributor through his company Finalfrontier, to his role as a mentor at the Red Bull Music Academy, where he shared his knowledge with new generations of artists.
His discography reflects a broad and versatile output. He has released music on labels such as Running Back (founded by Gerd Janson), reworked tracks by Alexander O'Neal and The Jungle Brothers for Peacefrog Records, and explored Boogie and Italo-inspired territories through his duo project Tiger & Woods. He is also among the very few producers whose work has been remixed by both Ricardo Villalobos (“Flora”, the Villalobos & Melchior Fauna Remix) and Autechre (“Phonok”, the Gescom remix), underlining the breadth of his influence within electronic music.
Over the years, Passarani has performed across five continents, both solo and as part of Tiger & Woods, in clubs such as Berghain, Fabric, Womb, Rex Club, Ultraschall, Paradiso and Razzmatazz. His festival appearances include Sónar, Melt Festival, Movement Festival, Primavera Sound, 10 Days Off, Dekmantel Selector and Coachella.
In recent years, his output has remained consistently active. Alongside albums released on Offen Music and AUS Music, he founded the label Unrelatable and later launched Studiomaster, now a central platform for his current work. His releases on Libertine Records, Klakson and Loud Enough, as well as the David Woods project on Running Back / T&W Records and recent Tiger & Woods singles, reflect an artist in continuous development.
Passarani maintains a constant creative output, using his studio, labels and collaborations as practical tools to develop new ideas and expand his musical language over time. With this body of work and ongoing output behind him, interest is naturally high around what 2026 will bring from Passarani.
